Here are a few of our frequently asked questions to help you understand the process of working with a buyer's agent. 

What is the role and fees of a buyer's agent?

buyer’s advocate is contracted by a buyer to establish a shortlist of properties that meet specific criteria. Buyer’s agent then takes the clients to inspect the selected properties and negotiate the purchase price on the buyer’s behalf or bid at auction

There is a fee for using a buyer’s agent, but the main advantage is that it saves the buyer from having to spend time looking at unsuitable properties and having a buyer's agent negotiate terms on your behalf.

There is no cost for your first consultation or meeting. We charge a $3300 engagement fee and a 1.5%-2% fee on completion depending on what your exact requirements are, this would all be agreed and discuss before any fee is charged.

What qualifications do buyer's agents have?

Principal buyer's agent, Rian is a fully qualified buyer's agent. Amongst holding a real estate agent's license, Rian holds a degree in commerce and has worked for over 20 years across both real estate and mortgage broking. Rian has been closely involved in a number of high level property developments, ensuring he brings a wealth of experience, no matter what your project.

Who uses a buyer's agent?

We work with a broad range of clients and do not have a specific clientele. We work regularly with all property purchasers including first home buyers, property investors based interstate and overseas, retirees/downsizers and family home buyers.  You might feel you're in experienced in the property market or know what you want and simply don't have time to research the market. We work with all levels of expertise and property budgets. 

In using a buyer's agent, do I also work with a Selling Agent?

In working with a buyer's agent, we will represent you to the selling agent. We will manage all conversations at a professional level and ensure we share with you the most important information to ensure a robust decision making process. Should you prefer to work also with a selling agent, we can discuss this at the time of our initial consultation to understand the exact involvement you'd like from us.

How long is my contract with the buyer's agent?

We will work with you until the property is found. Then we will also assist your through the settlement process up until the keys are in your hand. We will provide further detail around this during our initial consultation.
